5 Things I Think About While Watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve

  1. Okay, a million-zillion people -- where are the bathrooms?
  2. These people can't be native New Yorkers, right? I mean -- who spends 5 hours in the cold to count down from 10?
  3. It must take hours to get home from Times Square after midnight. Do you just say, "Screw it" and stay up?
  4. Really, where are the bathrooms? Do they just go where they're standing or do they all wear astronaut diapers?
  5. What does Dick Clark do the other 364 days of the year?

Comments:
That's what I always wondered about, a whole lot of police and chicken wire. Where are the porta-potties? We'd stay in the first 5 minutes then run downstairs and around the block screaming and come back inside. Oh, Mr. Clark's in an oxygen chamber the other 357 days. I thought you knew that.

Formerly a native New Yorker, I had done the Times Square thing only once. Believe me it was enough. Very cold, very cramped and piss all over the place (an answer to where all the port-a-potties were I guess). Plus, we were not very close even though we had gotten a reasonably early start. Many people were out of towners, though.

Ah, the memories! lol
